It seems in today's blog world that you can't be a big-time blogger unless you put yourself all out there. To the point that people know you when you walk down the street and can probably even find your house. Privacy in this technology-driven world is practically unheard of and even, to a degree, shunned.
I don't owe anyone anything. I didn't use anyone. I'm still in regular contact with close friends I've made over the years and they understand why I've chosen to be anonymous.
I don't care if this blog is easy to track down ... I don't care if readers think they know who I am. Those who I want to know who I am know. And those who I don't want to know my true identity won't. They can guess all they want to, but it just won't happen.
Why go anonymous? Because I cherish my privacy and the privacy of my family. I can be open and transparent and real, yet keep my privacy. Anyone who doesn't like it? There's this cool little 'X' in the upper right hand corner of your screen ... go ahead and click on it. Make sure to clear your history too, so you're not tempted to return.
This is my safe haven online and it will stay that way.
